Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
This policy describes the information ETX Exchange holds, why it is needed, and what stays private.
01What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name and sign-in method.
- Profile details you add: display name, city, bio, profile picture and the payment accounts you save.
- Identity verification results: the outcome of verification and the legal name confirmed by the verification provider.
- Trading records: offers, orders, the payment method chosen, references, chat messages and any evidence filed in a dispute.
- Wallet records: deposit addresses, deposits, withdrawals and internal transfers.
- Security records: sign-in and security events, and the codes issued to confirm sensitive actions.
02Why we use it
- To create and operate your account.
- To verify your identity before you trade, as the trading rules require.
- To run P2P orders, record their state and let both sides see the same information.
- To process deposits and withdrawals with the payment provider.
- To review disputes, answer support requests and prevent fraud or abuse.
03Who it is shared with
ETX Exchange shares only what each provider needs: the payment provider receives the withdrawal address and amount for a payout, and the identity verification provider receives what is required to verify you.
Records are also disclosed where the law requires it, or to investigate suspected fraud.
Payment account numbers and private transaction details are never published on the public marketplace.
04Public information
Offers you post are public: the rate, order limits, payment methods and the display name you chose. Your email address, wallet balances, transaction history, identity documents and dispute evidence are not public.
05How long records are kept
Account, trading and wallet records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as financial and anti-fraud record-keeping requires. Security codes expire within minutes and are stored only as hashes.
06Your choices
- You can change your display name, profile details and payment accounts in the app.
- You can ask to close your account through support; records that must be retained are kept for the required period.
- You can ask what personal information is held about you and request a correction by opening a support ticket.
07How your account is protected
- Access to private records is limited by role, in the application and in the database.
- One-time codes are stored only as salted hashes and expire quickly.
- Passkeys keep the private key on your own device.
- Session tokens are held in your browser's storage for as long as you stay signed in.
08Storage in your browser
ETX Exchange stores your session so you stay signed in, plus small preferences such as remembered tab positions. It does not use advertising trackers on the marketplace.
